Guguan Feb 2023 Sakura blossoms

 Towards the end of Feb the sakura blossoms appear in Taiwan. Riding on these mountain roads with a sweet scent in the air is something quite sublime. The hills and loquat farms in the area offer great vistas and the weather is usually nice as well during this time.

Xiaoliuchiu Island Kaohsiung

Lovely winter beach weather, easy snorkeling with sea turtles coral and reef fish, quick and inexpensive ferry from DongGang port. Great scenery, this coral island has fascinating rock shapes and flora. Great food,see pics below for restaurants. Gas & electric scooters easy to rent or just bring ur bicycle along on the ferry. During windy winter months in Taiwan, this island has very little wind , mild weather and warm sea to enjoy. I was on the beach just before Xmas. Ali Shan from Sun Moon Lake

This is a beautiful ride and not much traffic . Vinyards, tea farms and lovely walks along the way especially the Giant tree walk at Ali Shan visitor station.
