Mae Hong Son Loop Northern Thailand
Welcome to my motorbike blog. Living in Asia has a host of benefits and one of them is being able to travel relatively cheaply. Traveling by motorbike is a great way to see the world and with a little planning and some common sense you can make it work cheaply. We rode the Mae Hong Son loop in March 2019 and it was good fun. I guess weather-wise Feb would be best but we had good weather too in March. There are so many little places and towns to sleep over cheaply and lots of good itineraries on the internet. So below just a few pics to give you an idea.
In Chiang Mai renting a cheap bicycle is best......
We rented from POP rentals in Chiang Mai - great outfit to rent from. Tip!: Do not rent new bikes, ask for older bikes. New bikes almost always have teething problems and if you scratch the paintwork it is easily noticeable.
